Reekado Banks and D'banj, both former label mates, got together to produce a tune that’s already highly anticipated by their teaming fans. However, some fans are of the opinion that both of them are betraying Don Jazzy.
It is no news that Don Jazzy had a rift with D'Banj back in the days which led to their breakup and the sinking of Mo'Hits crew. Moving on with their lives, Don Jazzy formed Mavin Records which harbored and nurtured Reekado Banks for five solid years. Since the forming of Mavin Records, no act in the label had ever featured D'banj in a song.
It seems like it was against the rules and regulations of Mavin Records to feature any Mo'Hits member who didn’t follow along to Mavin Records. So, a D'banj and Reekado Banks collaboration remained a myth for the five years he stayed with Mavin Records. However, such yoke has been broken now that’s he’s out of Mavin Records.
Both singers were spotted in a studio working on a song. Some fans seem to think that Don Jazzy won’t find such collaboration funny, as it is something he spent five years preventing. But is it enough to be tagged a betrayal?
