The Federal Government has threatened to use Tekno as a scapegoat to send strong signals intolerance to 'nonsense and immorality', as expressed disappointment that the Cartel Musi boss released the music video which sparke controversy while being shot.
Recall that Tekno suffered a backlash after bein spotted in a viral video shared on soci media dancing in a transparent moving van o the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge in Lagos, with fo semi-nude women.
Reacting to the release of the musi video, Director General of the National Council f Arts and Culture (NCAC) a parastatal of th Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Segu Runsewe said they were queried by Nigerians home and in the diaspora after a clip of the semnaked women went viral. He also warned again shameful conducts which are not part of "ou culture.
“We commend the police for arresting Tekno f the shameful misconduct. The same person, wh was granted bail on health grounds has gon ahead to release the controversial video. We a now warning him to desist from this shamef conduct, which is not part of our culture.
“No single person is bigger than Nigeria; wheth he likes it or not, we are going to use him as scapegoat to send strong signals that thi government does not tolerate nonsense an immorality, but discipline, which is our mor principle.
“Since the offensive Tekno scam video came t the limelight, I have received hundreds telephone calls and SMS from Nigerians at hom and others in the United Kingdom, United State Canada and other parts of the world querying w such anomalies would be tolerated in Nigeria.
“Now that he has released the shameful vide when the investigation is still ongoing, we a going to inform security agencies to place him o their watch list, because his action is a threat t national security and a bad influence on Nigeria youths.
“We are committed to exposing proponents of thi kind of offensive sights and videos. We warn th nudity is not part of our culture and should not b tolerated. The Federal Government will hencefort fish out clubs for nude dancers across th country for their promoters to face prosecution.”
